Clear aligner therapy has been around for over 20 years, but there is little discussion about its use in the management of cleft and palate. This presentation will discuss clear aligner technology and present pros and cons of clear aligners versus traditional braces. We will discuss the objectives of the various orthodontic phases in cleft lip and palate care and review cases in which clear aligners were used to achieve the treatment goals.
